The Herriman Amateur Radio Club has a wonderful working relationship with Herriman City. One of our club members even currently serves on the city council (KE7VAQ, Coralee Wessman-Moser). The city has provided equipment to the club including 13 go kits that can be checked out from city hall, and a repeater that sits on top of Herriman High School. The city is counting on ham operators throughout the city to provide emergency communications in the event of a city emergency.
This section of the HARC website is designed to give you information that will help you understand Herriman city emergency response organization, and what roles amateur radio operators are expected to play in the event of an emergency.
